Procurement

Procurement of supplies, materials, equipment and other items needed for the day-to-day operation of the Institute and its projects are being handled by the Department.

Common office supplies and materials are issued from the PIDS Stockroom during regular working days except Fridays. All requests for office supplies, materials and equipment are subject for approval by the officers of the Institute prior to their issuance.

This is to invite PIDS duly registered and accredited editors to submit a proposal for the copyediting of nine perspective papers written by the Institute�s research fellows.

Specifications:

Total no. of pages: 643 (printed on A4-size bond paper; 1.5 line-spaced, 12 pts., Times New Roman)

Scope of work:

1. copyediting of the manuscripts, including tables, figures and appendices, following PIDS style
2. entering of corrections and proofing 3. submission of clean copies of edited manuscripts for authors� review
4. encoding of author's corrections and proofing
5. finalization and submission of final edited version of manuscripts

Terms and Conditions:

Terms of Payment: One lump sum after delivery of the final output and its acceptance and approval by the Institute.

Penalty: A penalty of 1/10 of one percent of the total contract price shall be deducted for each day of late delivery.

Requirements: Submit a proposal with price inclusive of VAT, indicating:

� Your per-page editing rate following the same format as the original manuscript; and

� A timetable, which indicates the total number of days that you can finish all the activities stipulated in the Scope of Work. A breakdown of the total per activity should be included.
